Privacy Policy — Production Board

Production Board (“the app”) is a Shopify app that helps merchants track production status and print packing slips for custom and made-to-order items. This policy explains what data we access and how it’s used.

Data We Access

To provide the app’s functionality, we access the following data from your Shopify store:

• Order details — order number, line items, order status, and timestamps, so we can display your unfulfilled orders on the production board.
• Line item properties / customization fields — personalization details customers enter at checkout (e.g., engraving text, size, color), so you can see them without opening each order individually.
• Product information — product images and types, to display alongside order line items.
• Customer name — displayed on the production board and on packing slips only.

We do not access or store full customer contact details, payment information, or browsing behavior. Shipping confirmation emails are sent by Shopify directly to the customer’s email already on file — we never read or store that email address.

How We Use Data

Data is used solely to power the app’s features inside your Shopify Admin: displaying the production board, updating order status/tags, and generating packing slips. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

We store the minimum data required to operate the app — primarily your store’s connection credentials (access token) needed to communicate with the Shopify API on your behalf. Order and customization data is read from Shopify at the time you use the app and is not duplicated into a separate long-term database beyond what’s needed for the app to function. Production status is stored as Shopify metafields on your orders — not in our database.

Data Retention & Deletion

If you uninstall the app, we delete your store’s stored access token and associated session data immediately upon receiving Shopify’s uninstall/redaction webhooks, in compliance with Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks (app/uninstalled, shop/redact, customers/redact, customers/data_request). No customer records are stored in our database, so no customer data needs to be deleted on redaction requests.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about your store, or request deletion, at any time by contacting us at the email below. Shopify also allows you to submit these requests directly through your Shopify Admin.
